WHO: YOU! This workshop is for all people and skill levels. You don't even need to own a serger, or sewing machine for that matter!
WHAT: A 3 Day workshop on the Serger. We'll cover threading, tips, techniques, troubleshooting, and theory. You'll work hands-on a serger, which we'll provide for you, and put together your very own "serger spectacular reference library" full of samples and step-by-step instructions. If you do have a serger of your own at home, this binder will be an invaluable resource for you!
WHEN: Columbus Day Weekend
Saturday, October 7th through Monday October 9th from 9:00-4:00pm
WHERE: The Acton Woman's Club at 504 Main Street in Acton, Mass
HOW: Register online via our class page, in-store, or give us a call.
* $199 if you enroll before 9/20 *
INCLUDES: Everything you need over the 3 days of the workshop including all materials and supplies,, hand outs, binder, meals. We will provide the serger and all the required attachments, so you don't even need to pack up and lug your machine over here!
Do you understand what a serger does and how it can save you time while providing professional results your sewing machine cannot compete with?
Do you understand why a serger generally needs to be threaded sequentially?
Do you have a full comprehension of how tension works?
Are you able to thread your serger without tying off, or troubleshoot stitch issues?
If you answered "no" to any of these questions, take this workshop so that you'll be able to answer "yes" at the end of it
Do you spend more time threading your machine and trying to get the tensions correct than you do actually working on your project?
Does working with your serger cause you frustration?
Do you shy away from working with certain fabrics due to the results on your sewing machine?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, take this workshop so that you'll be able to answer "no" at the end of it!
WHY WE LOVE THE BERNINA 7 Series
Since the introduction of the 7 series during my first year in business, I've been absolutely in love with it! From it's massive bobbin size, to it's intuitive interface - this machine is my favorite, and the one I use at home on all of my crazy projects! With 10" of space to the right of the needle, you have plenty of room to maneuver your larger project. I also love the 'hover' feature and FHS (free hand system) for those moments you wish you had about 3 extra hands. Come in today for a test drive on what I assure you will become your dream machine! ... Erin
